In a recent poll conducted by DJ TRUUF, Philly’s No#1 Alternative DJ, broadcasting on the Funk Master Flex Radio Network www.worldcastradio.com. Listeners were asked to participate in selecting their favorite Independent artists.
While voters selected mainly US independent artists, there were only 2 artists that made the list who were not from the US. More surprisingly, one of those 2 artists isn’t a rap or recording artist at all…He is a DJ/Producer who hails from Canada, by the name of Big Steve Gee. “I dunno how…but I made it on there!” –Big Steve Gee
Big Steve Gee has made it on this list for his talent of blending and remixing music, which in that respect makes him an artist in his own right. You have heard his music before on the radio; it’s probably your favorite remix on rotation on your ipod. Where ever you have heard his music its shows Big Steve Gee is well on his way to possibly being on the list of Top Artists 2010.
